KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Milton Jones is the President of Christian Relief Fund in Amarillo, Texas. In his work there, he has focused on the care of AIDS orphans and drilling water wells in Sub-Saharan Africa. He has also ministered as a preacher and campus minister in both Texas and Washington. Dr. Jones also served as a professor at Puget Sound Christian College for two decades. Milton has authored eight books including a touching tale of one of his heroes with Cerebral Palsy, Sundays With Scottie. He is married to Barbie Jones and has two sons, Patrick and Jeremy. He graduated from Texas Tech in 1974 where he was a Saddle Tramp.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Tim Talley was a Broadway campus minister from 2013 to October 2021. He served in that capacity with his late wife Rebecca until she was forced to retire in 2019 because of an ALS diagnosis. Tim and his wife were very passionate about interacting with and serving international students at TTU, LCU and SPC. They also initiated the campus center renovation and rebranding of what is now Atlas.

The Talleys served as missionaries in East Africa from 1985 until the end of 2012. Prior to being a missionary, Tim was the Singles Minister at the Broadway Church of Christ from 1979 until 1985. He was also an adjunct teacher of Missions at LCU on several occasions.

Tim has three adult daughters and seven grandchildren.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Dean Barham serves as lead minister of A&M Church of Christ in College Station, Texas and founder of Apex Life & Leadership Consulting. Dean has served as a minister for churches in Texas, Tennessee, and Virginia, as well as an adjunct professor at Lipscomb and Lubbock Christian Universities. Dean also was a chaplain for law enforcement officers, and an attorney in estate planning, litigation, and constitutional law. Most importantly, Dean is married to his college sweetheart, Melanie, a teacher, phenomenal storyteller, and amateur artist, and they have three wonderful children: Christine, David, and Luke. Dean and Melanie enjoy anything outdoors, reading, art, movies and music. Dean is also a sports fanatic and a die-hard fan of a certain NFL football team in Dallas. Dean’s mission in life is to live and tell the story of a Man who wouldn’t stay dead.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER

Charles Mickey served as the Broadway campus minister beginning in 1974, where he also taught at Texas Tech University and Lubbock Christian University. He was deeply committed to both academic excellence and ministry, holding degrees from Abilene Christian University, where he graduated as valedictorian, and pursuing doctoral studies in Religion at Rice University.

Throughout his ministry, Charles preached for several congregations across Texas, including churches in Arlington, Houston, Texarkana, San Antonio, and Richardson. In addition to his preaching and campus ministry work, he later served as Executive Director of the Christian Trial Lawyers Association and as Director of the Lanier Theological Library, where he continued to contribute to theological scholarship and leadership.

Charles comes from a rich heritage of ministry, with numerous family members who also served as preachers, including his father, brother, uncles, and extended family.

WORSHIP LEADER

After graduating from Abilene Christian University in December of 1993, Adam Looney became the Broadway Campus Minister. He served in that role from January 1994 to July 2001. The ministry, at that time, was know as “Campus Advance” and was rebranded to “Christ In Action Student Ministry” in the late 90’s. Adam also served as Broadway’s worship minister in a dual-ministry role. In 2001 he transitioned into the worship ministry role full time.

In 2003, Adam, his wife Stacia, and their newborn daughter Jenna moved to Allen, TX to serve as the worship minster for the Greenville Oaks Church of Christ. Today, Adam serves as the Worship and Operations Minister for the Greenville Oaks Church of Christ.

Adam and his wife Stacia have 2 grown children, Jenna, a recent graduate of ACU working in education, and Jonathan, a junior at ACU.

WORSHIP LEADER

Eddie Pleasant first came to Broadway in the fall of 1980. A Vocal Performance major from Midland, Eddie became active with Broadway’s campus ministry known then as Campus Advance. He joined the vocal ensemble, Mountaintop, his freshman year and became the group's coordinator and arranger from his sophomore year, continuing in that capacity until 1987. Mountaintop recorded three albums during Eddie’s tenure with the group. He also directed the teen ensemble New Beginnings for several years, was substitute worship leader for Bob Massey, directed wedding choruses and lent his voice in funeral ensembles directed by Horace Coffman. Eddie also worked in the Broadway office as a staff member. In fact, his claim to fame is he is the person who computerized the entire Broadway membership roll which, until that time, was kept manually. Eddie is a professional singer with national and international credits. He has served as Minister of Music and Worship Arts for the Stamford Church of Christ (Connecticut) since 1990.

SESSION SPEAKER

Jeremy Smith is the current Campus Minister of Atlas and Executive Minister at Broadway and has served the college students of Lubbock since 2022. He has 17 years of experience in student ministry programs. He holds a Doctor of Ministry in Spiritual Formation, emphasizing adolescent spiritual formation. He has published and presented internationally on topics of adolescent spiritual formation, spiritual discernment, and spiritual self-efficacy.

SESSION SPEAKERS

Christine Barham is the Associate Campus Minister of Atlas. She began at Atlas as the Campus Ministry Apprentice in 2022, serving in that position for three and a half years before she was promoted into her current role in 2026. She is a student at Abilene Christian University and is working towards her Master of Divinity degree from Abilene Christian University.

Cameron Davis is the Campus Ministry Apprentice at Atlas. He has served at Atlas since 2023. Cameron holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Text from Lubbock Christian University and is currently working on his Master of Divinity degree from Abilene Christian University.

They are both passionate about serving God’s Kingdom through their work with the college students of Lubbock, Texas.
